Triangolo

Cremona

E09 - Level 1

Triangolo was founded in Cremona in 1979 and immediately became a key gallery in the local cultural scene by exhibiting prominent figures of 20th-century Italian art. After operating for several years as a cultural center, the space was reopened by Leonardo Caldonazzo, its current owner. It officially transitioned into a contemporary art gallery in June 2022 with the solo exhibition of Ettore Favini titled "Fragili Rive." The month of May 2023 marked a turning point in the gallery's activities with the collective exhibition featuring Andrea Bocca, Alessandro Agudio, Silvia Mariotti, and Gianni Caravaggio, hosted as part of the first edition of Cremona Contemporanea, Art Week. Simultaneously, a turnover of the team, all under 30, allowed the gallery to adopt an exhibition program that reflects the owner's poetic vision. Triangolo's project aims to establish itself as a gallery collaborating with both Italian and international artists who, due to their young age, represent the voice of an entire generation. Triangolo emerges from the urgency of fostering an artist-gallery dialogue within the same generation, grounded on a shared cultural and imaginary foundation. Recognizing that dialogue with artists from different generations enriches younger ones, the gallery also fosters intergenerational relationships with established and mid-career artists.
