The retrospective “The House That Jack Built,” presented at Pirelli HangarBicocca, introduces the public to the artist’s thirty years of research into spatial and architectural practices. The exhibition brings together a significant selection of works spanning the artist’s entire career, shedding light on his dialogue with iconic buildings designed by masters of Modernist architecture. Starting from replicas of Modernist architectures, Tiravanija develops works in which buildings are conceived as spaces capable of speaking about the people who inhabit them. In the Navate space, visitors will actively navigate a gigantic maze, where every encounter becomes an opportunity to share experiences of leisure, rest, care, and conviviality.
